Two Year Olds

Children learn through play, exploration and socialization with other children in a developmentally appropriate environment.  Our goal is to provide each child with a sound foundation for learning by providing choices and the guidance needed to grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Our twos are introduced to the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors. They learn to play with others, make choices, take turns (sharing), and become more independent. Verbal skills continue to grow as words become clear and understandable. Social skills further develop as children begin to make the transition from parallel play (side-by-side) to play that includes friends. Self -help skills, including potty training, are a primary focus for two-year olds.
